Hello it’s Milly here from school council. Watch out for our Easter egg competition design coming to classrooms next week. It is 50p to enter. Please hand all entries and money in to school council members by Monday 21st April. Watch out for The Easter raffle. All money raised wil be donated to our charity Nordoff Robins.
Have a Hoppy Easter. We look forward to seeing your designs.
Thank you to everyone who has brought in cakes and cookies to sell. They look delicious. The sale will continue through til Friday. We will count funds and announce this next week.
Raffle tickets can also be bought for 50p each break and lunchtimes. See Milly and Declan. Winners will be announced in the Christmas assembly on Friday 18th December. Good luck.
This week School Council have decided that they will launch their fund raising efforts and hold a Christmas cake and cookie sale. The sale will begin on Monday 7th December and will continue til the Friday that week. More information will follow and Mika will be designing a flyer to distribute around school and to parents this week.
A Christmas raffle will also be launched on 7th December. Milly has informed Mrs Pilling about which prizes School Council would like to award as the winning prizes. Mrs Pilling will be buying them this week.
Further discussion was held about our Christmas competition. School Council have decided to invite children to design a Christmas card. Freya and Luke will design a sheet to give to classes ready to go out next Monday. The cost of entry is 20p and there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both EYFS/KS1 and KS2.
School Council have decided that we will be supporting and collecting for the charity Nordoff Robins. This is a charity we have been raising money for for a number of years and we feel that at the time leading up to Christmas, this is a well deserved charity. School council will decide what fund raising activities to do next week.
Our newly formed School Coucil have spent the last couple of weeks talking to their classes about things to focus on this year. We have decided that we will organise some fund raising for next half term and that we will speak to Mr Wood and Mr Gubbins about our school yard. Many members discussed how children wanted parts of the playground resurfaced.
